As photographers it is important that we "learn to see' and Lucy's well structured talk gave us plenty of insights on how she takes her images, where she finds them and what subjects are important to her.
She mainly focussed on her black and white photos, often taken inside cathedrals, which were stunning. Her presentation style enabled us to reflect and study the images in moments of silence. In addition to what she took she stressed the importance of light, may be obvious but her images were far from obvious, ranging from sunlight catching chairs in a cathedral to high key fungus with only a thin slice of focus.
