Carriage Racing - Saturday 21st September 2019

A new season and our first club event - carriage racing at Ashfield Carriage and Polo Club, situated in beautiful Essex countryside.  A brand new venue and a new experience for us to try out our photographic skills!

What a venue!  Absolutely amazing equestrian facilities, excellent cafe and very friendly, helpful organisers and competitors.  The original itinerary had been for cross country but we discovered that the days events were now to include dressage and cone racing which both provided us with plenty of opportunities to capture that 'special' shot.

Thanks to everyone at Ashfields, especially Lorna, for all the help and advice given and for allowing us access to such amazing facilities - it was very much appreciated.

Tuesday 10th September Welcome back

There was a lot of catching up to do as this was the first meeting of a new year.
Subs were collected. Membership cards distributed.
Then we were delighted to welcome our three judges, Elaine Stubbings, Jon Martin and Peter Simpson, to judge the 2019 Summer Challenge.
The Challenge this year followed the usual format for the digital but for the first time we introduced a print panel competition. There were 22 digital entries and 5 print panels.
The images were very varied in genre ranging from macro to mono, from scapes to still life and  from  wildlife to coastal.
Two weeks to wait for the results!!

Congratulations to all who entered.
The winning contact sheets and panels are:
