Special Interest Groups

We have two groups:

Scapes

The Scape SIG was re-launched in February 2023 and there are currently 14 members in the group.  We aim to meet up every four weeks at various locations in East Anglia.

The aim of the group is to try photographing different types of landscape such as coastal, city, countryside and night-time photography and to help and support each other by sharing our various skills when out on a shoot and learn new skills such as long exposures, composition, using filters, and to give post processing tips and constructive critique at follow up zoom meetings.

We normally have a follow up meeting via zoom a week or so after the meet up to share our images and give critique on how we could improve the image.

If you are interested in joining the SCAPE SIG, please speak to Carol or Rachael at the club meetings’.

Nature SIG

WDPC runs a Nature Special Interest Group (SIG) which is designed to assist Nature lovers to improve their photography in a friendly and knowledgeable environment . We are currently a small group of about 10 members who meet up every few weeks at a pre-chosen reserve to get that shot and enjoy each others' company. Advice is offered on site from the more experienced members.

Approximately one to two weeks after each meeting, we Zoom together in order to give constructive advice on how our images may have been improved at source but also to give valuable editing tips on image presentation. Then we decide on where and when to go next.

There is no doubt that the standard of our photography has improved following this format. But the added bonus is getting outdoors amongst nature and enjoying each others company.

Anyone with a keen interest  in Nature/Wildlife, be interested in joining us, the please contact me.
